How We Work Our Organisation
Who Pays?
Sustainable Tiverton is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). We are financed by community donations, fundraisers and grant funding. Since 2022 we have also employed temporary workers, financed by grant funding. Their input makes it possible for new projects to develop and grow.
How We Run
Our governing body is the Directors of the CIC. Directors are volunteers and members of the local community and are responsible for planning and oversight of the company and managing the central functions to ensure that the organisation keeps going and can support all our initiatives. We also have Members of the CIC who are kept in touch with latest developments and can vote at our AGM.

Volunteers
Volunteers are the mainstay of our work, and the wonderful energy and commitment they bring enables us to continue our work and grow, while keeping services we provide accessible to all. Find out more about volunteering, including the roles of directors and members here.

Community Engagement
We engage with many different groups in the community and share ideas or activities through community meetings, exhibitions, talks, community celebrations and sustainability events.
